Mike has always had a passion for understanding how things work, he enjoys and embraces the challenge. If it’s broken, he can fix it. In school, he took a few tech. classes and decided to teach himself more of the things he was interested in. He worked at a metal fabrication shop for a while working with steel, aluminum, and other metal substrates, creating signs, monuments and art. He has a background in metal, bodywork, paint, and all things restoration. He has also worked on quite a few classic VW Bugs. He went on to transform his own 1962 Bug, finishing it in 2010. Today, you can often find the little teal treasure cruising around town or at shop. Mike took over the building with his wife, Paulette, in 2015, and they decided to name it “Franktown Collision and Restoration Garage” after the town, and their dreams.

Mike also enjoys music, he is a drummer, and that is what lead him to meeting his wife, Paulette. He played various instruments in school then later went to school in Virginia as a musician. In Mike’s spare time he enjoys flying his R.C. helicopters and airplanes.
